The first picture

(Photo from msfiafi.blogspot.com)

What picture comes upon you the first time you open your eyes in the morning?

The first picture...the first thought...the first feeling...the first word...the first action--they all matter.

The first picture of yourself...the first picture of what's gonna happen triggers your thoughts. These thoughts trigger your feelings. These feelings, when they cannot anymore contain themselves in the sanctuary of your mind, escape through words. Ultimately, these words elicit actions from yourself and from others. All are interconnected.

In the seemingly restless world where you are in, the first picture that comes to mind at daybreak is often troubling. It is filled with anxious anticipation of what the day has to offer. It is a noisy picture. A deafening picture that shoots forth from the din within.

Somewhere in between the first picture and the first action, you have all the opportunity to choose.

The first thought...the first feeling...the first word...these are your comrades. You can persuade them to ease away the troublesome picture that comes to your awareness as a bitter epiphany.

The first troublesome picture is no match against a thought of gratitude--"Thank you God for all the wonderful things You have blessed me with...for the life You have granted me. You could've taken it away in my sleep but out of love You've renewed and sustained me.", thinks your Mind.

This power of your Mind gives your Heart a peaceful and steady beat...a beat of gratitude..."I beat peacefully amidst all the anxiety the world is soaking me with for I am blessed and thankful.", feels your Heart.

Your Heart tickles your Mouth and in bliss the latter cannot anymore contain the appreciation of life and the world...a word of gratitude..."Thanks God. Thanks life.". says your Mouth.

Then, your Mind, Heart and Mouth hug the muscles of your cheeks..an act of gratitude...a smile escapes.

This single smile is a teamwork of your thoughts, feelings, words and actions.

And this smile can dissolve all your own troublesome pictures...and that of others.

Have blessed day!
